are you wondering what there is to do on the long beach peninsula? well, where do we start... on a nice day the best thing to do is check out all the amazing sites like: northhead light house, leadbetter state park, the lewis & clark Interpretive center, cape disappointment state Park, fort columbia, the boardwalk, beard's hallow, oysterville, and the list goes on! if you'd like to do some shopping there's downtown long beach (a close walk) and the port of ilwaco. both places have great little gift shops, art galleries, etc... if you're looking for more adventure you can go horse back riding on the beach, take our bicycles for stroll down the Discovery Trail, or rent some mopeds to explore the Peninsula. if the weather is unpleasant you can check out the one-of-a-kind marsh's free museum, where you can visit the infamous jake the aligator man. there is also a movie theatre just a couple blocks away and a bowling alley just down the road in ilwaco. accross the beautiful columbia river is astoria oregon (approx. a 25 min drive), where you can check out the maritime museum, heritage museum and many great shops, art galleries, and restaurants.
